Stitch Fix : Adding The Right Pieces To Your Closet
Stitch Fix, here we are again! I will say this isn't my first rodeo getting a box of fun pieces to try out! It has been about 2 years though. I really like how my stylist Kimberly looked on my Pinterest board, on the blog, and paid attention to the answers I left on the Stitch Fix profile. I started thinking about getting the fix before my trip to TX last weekend for a business training, but I waited too long for it to come in time before I left. So here we are...it's decision making time friends! What pieces should I keep and which ones are getting shipped back?
To cull through the box of clothes I do a few things:
- First, I try each item on at least two different times.
- Second, see if you have other pieces in your closet that you can easily pair the new piece with so they are versatile. This helps to ensure you'll actually wear it and you won't have to spend money on extra accessories to pull an outfit together.
- Third, get a second (and third and fourth) opinion! Ask your husband, close friend, or roomie what they think!
- Fourth, if you don't love it, send it back!
The Pros: These pants are super soft and made out of a thick material. I like the feel, especially for a business conference.
The Cons: The color is not me.
The Verdict: I am not in love with them, so they are headed back in the bag.
The Pros: It's the right length for a maxi, I love the color and detail, and the slits in the side make it easy to walk.
The Cons: I am just not a maxi dress girl being a little over 5'2".
The Verdict: This is a maybe right now. Stitch Fix is all about getting some great pieces that I normally wouldn't try on in the store! What do you think?
The Pros: I love stripes (probably too much) and it's made of soft fabric.
The Cons: The lace detail is not my favorite.
The Verdict: Back in the bag.
The Pros: This is a shirt I would normally skip over on the hanger, but I really like it. Ryan does too!
The Cons: Can't think of any!
The Verdict: KEEP! It's a fun piece that can be paired with jeans for a casual look or dressed up with some white pants!
The Pros: My fave...this is just my style. Stripes. Fun, simple cut. And works for GA games!
The Cons: I may have 3+ black and white stripe tops already!
The Verdict: Keep! You can never have too much black + white in your closet, right?!
