15 Weeks
How far along? 15 weeks and 3 days

Baby: The baby is as big as a navel orange!
*Baby is making lots of movements even though I can't feel them because the joints and limbs can all move now.
*Baby's proportions are becoming even more normal since the legs now outmeasure the arms.
*The avg. baby at 15 weeks weighs 2.5 oz and measures 4 inches.

Total weight gain:  4 lbs

Maternity clothes? I have been loving my maternity leggings. If you are pregnant, do yourself a favor and get some. They are the most. comfortable. article. of. clothing. EVER!

Stretch marks? Nope

Sleep: I have slept much better the last few nights and wake up feeling more energy than the last 3 months. This makes me happy!

Best moment this week: We know the gender of our sweet baby! On Wednesday we had our appointment, but it was hard for the ultrasound tech to see. We had all gone in and were so bummed when we weren't able to find out. Vann and I went back today to find out if he is having a little brother or little sister! Thank HEAVENS we could tell and are pumped to share with our family and friends!

Miss anything? Nope, I am enjoying this part of pregnancy!

Movement: Every once in a while I feel a little movement, but nothing regular yet.

Food cravings: I am still on my egg sandwich kick. We had some incredible steaks on Wednesday night for a celebration for my brother. I ate too much, but they were great!

Anything making you queasy or sick: I am feeling much better and haven't had any big aversions this week.

Gender: We thought we'd find out on Wednesday, but we got the news TODAY and couldn't be more excited for our  .   .   . HEALTHY baby! We will announce very soon! What do you think Baby Doss 2.0 is?

Symptoms: ITCHY skin! Omg...I don't ever remember my skin being this dry and itchy. I am constantly drinking water and reapplying lotion!

Belly button in or out? In!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: God bless my family. I am normally a positive happy person. I cry and then can turn around in 5 minutes and be completely fine. It's not only annoying to my family, but I get aggravated as well with these moods!

Looking forward to: We can't wait to share the gender of this beautiful baby with our family and friends!

We are praying for you little one. We love you so very much and are so excited for the miracle of YOU! It is amazing that God is piecing you together and equipping you for this world we live in. We believe you are going to do amazing things here and know you are already so loved by so many.

Week 14
How far along? 14 weeks on Tuesday! My energy is up a bit more and feeling more like myself! Thank God! Our sweet baby is the size of a lemon!

Total weight gain:  2.5 lbs

Maternity clothes? Just wearing non-fitted tops and my stretchy jeans. It seems that is doing the trick for now. I am hoping with all of the tunics and longer tops out there that will be what I can wear in the winter time. I was pregnant with Vann in the Spring and Summer, so all of my maternity clothes are for that season.

Stretch marks? Nope

Sleep: I find myself waking up at least once at night and it takes me about 15-20 min to fall back asleep. My sis is a L&D nurse and works nightshifts, so I can typically text her and chat for a bit!

Best moment this week: Ryan and I had our 6 year anniversary this weekend! We are headed to celebrate soon.

Miss anything? I have noticed that I started sleeping on my belly and back a lot more than I thought I did. I will wake up and have to quickly turn to my side. I think one of the most things I had trouble with last pregnancy was sleeping and how uncomfortable I got. Thankfully I invested in a body pillow last go round, so I can use it a little sooner than 32 weeks when I bought it last time.

Movement: I don't think so, but just maybe I have. If I am really still I feel a little wiggle...it's so neat to think Baby D can move gracefully and has more control over movements and is even making faces!

Food cravings: This week it has been egg sandwiches. I normally make these for breakfast when I don't have my shake. I have been using the whole grain thin sandwich slices and a little bit of olive oil mayo topped with scrambled eggs and spinach lettuce!

Anything making you queasy or sick: This week has been heaven compared to the past several weeks, but the smell or taste of onions is not welcome by me.

Gender: We are praying for a healthy baby. I am ok with either! It would be wonderful for Vann to have a brother, but I also know he would be a great protector of a sister! We should know next Wednesday!

Symptoms: I have a bit of indigestion and a little bit of bloating in the evenings, but feel good otherwise!

Belly button in or out? In!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: My moodiness has calmed down a tad. I am sure my family is happy about that!

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender (hopefully baby will cooperate in 8 days).  We can't wait :)

Sweet baby, I keep looking at photos of your brother as a newborn and realize the time has flown by with him. We can't wait to hold you in our arms, watch him love you and play with you, and make precious memories!

13 weeks

Time seems to be flying by with this sweet pregnancy. Baby Doss 2.0 is growing and is the size of a sweet GA peach this week!

How far along? 13 weeks today! Now I am officially into the 2nd trimester which is crazy...I feel like even though the 1st trimester was awful symptoms wise, it went so fast!

Total weight gain:  2 lbs, but it feels like 20!

Maternity clothes? I've used the BeBand a couple of times, but I haven't dug into the maternity clothes in storage yet.

Stretch marks? Nope

Sleep: I could sleep a lot! On Saturday night I got in bed at 9:22 which is not typical for me! I normally try to get in bed around 10 pm and doze off a bit after that. I wake up several times through the night to drink water or get Vann back to sleep if he wakes up and needs me.

Best moment this week: On Sunday, Vann started rubbing my tummy while we were sitting on the couch. He leaned in and started whispering to the baby. Then looked at me and smiled!
We also shared our news with all of our family and friends! Check out our announcement below:

Miss anything? Not really, well except for a few of my favorite AdvoCare products and my 2nd Spark of the day. Here's what I do take

Movement: No.

Food cravings: Nothing too off the wall in terms of cravings. I have made 3 batches of Pumpkin Bread (my Nannie's recipe) in the past 3 weeks. 2 weeks ago I started craving Olive Garden salad. We got a bowl to go after one of the UGA games and they send you home with a bottle of their dressing. That bottle lasted until today, so I found a copycat recipe and it's awesome! I do use spinach lettuce instead of the iceberg lettuce. I toss in olives, parmesan, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, and croutons. YUM!

Anything making you queasy or sick: I feel so much better than I did the past month or so. Some smells really hit me...Lyla's dog food is one I could go without smelling!

Gender: I am just praying for a healthy baby, but lots of friends say girl. Vann tells people he wants a sister. We shall see in about a month.

Labor signs: Nope.

Symptoms: Bloating, low energy, and I feel so moody.

Belly button in or out? In!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: Errr a bit of both!  My emotions & hormones have been all over the place lately!  I hate feeling grumpy and it seems this week I've been feeling that way a lot. Sorry family!

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender (hopefully in 2-3 more weeks).  We can't wait :)

Sweet baby Doss, we are praying for you, excited for you, and happy that you are a part of our family. We praise God for the miracle of you!

35 weeks...how many more will it be?
Yesterday was 35 weeks! HOLY COW! Vann will be here soon!

How Far Along: 35 weeks & 2 Days

Sleep: I am doing well. I have gotten used to waking up every so often to roll myself over. I CAN'T WAIT to sleep on my tummy and back again! This sleeping on my side is for the birds...the way my belly pulls on my back can't be good! Poor Ryan has not been sleeping well...I hate when I wake up and he's still awake. I can fall asleep so quick and easy, and he has to lay there forever. It makes me feel awful for him and even more terrible that I can fall right back into dreamland.

Best Moment This Week: There have been lots! I loved that Ryan was off for a long 4 day weekend! The 4th was fun! Dad came over and painted more of Vann's room. We enjoyed celebrating my Papa's 87th birthday and having cake and ice cream that Nannie made.  Ryan and I had a movie date as well since it was icky weather!

{Not done yet, but closer than before!}

Friday, we went golfing Ryan went golfing and I rode in the golf cart with him. We got stuck in a torrential downpour and dodged it by hiding under trees off to the side of the course. It probably wasn't the smartest decision, but I love being caught in the rain with the Dossinator. He is amazing.

Saturday, I woke up early and made my way into town to pick up our first Bountiful Basket. I highly recommend finding a co-op in your neck of the woods. We have fruits and veggies flowing out of our ears. It even allowed me to pull out our juicer that Ryan bought a year ago and try it out for the first time! YUM! We love it. We had no idea what to mix together, but whatever we did worked! They are just a pain to wash all of the pieces! That night we had a date to Athens! We enjoyed some pizza from Mellow Mushroom and talking about the future!

Sunday, we were skippers and missed church! Thank goodness the sermons are online and we can catch up!  Our friends, Sarah and Clint, were in town! Ryan and Clint headed to the golf course, and Sarah and I had brunch and manis/pedis!
{Vann got this sweet present in the mail from Britney, my Phi Mu sister!
I love his hooded beach towel!}

Monday, we had a great shower at Ryan's work! Vann is definitely going to be taken care of with all of the awesome gifts and sweet prayers he has had. We even got to see Easton and Gabby again! It was good to hear some mommy advice as well. Greg had come over earlier in the day and installed Vann's fan and curtain rod/curtains! Ryan was surprised, and I hope it helped take some of the "to-do" list pressure off of him!

Food Cravings: Cold! Veggies, fruit, frozen yogurt. Anything cold is refreshing!

How’s Mama? I cannot complain! This has been a great pregnancy. I have been praying that delivery goes well, praying for the nurses and doctors, and praying for a strong mental dedication in birth. Ryan is going to be amazing!

What I miss: The sun! It looks like it has finally peeped out these last two days, but goodness we were about to build an ark! The rain was crazy. I am pretty sure Ryan cut the grass 3 times last week! (As I am writing this it started raining again...no kidding!)

What I am looking forward to: Seeing our sweet boy on the ultrasound next week! We also have an awesome shower that some of our best friends are throwing and attending on Sunday! I can't wait to see everyone! I have a few more things to get before I can pack my hospital bag and be done with it. I have all of Vann's stuff, just need snacks/clothes for Ryan, slippers and pjs for me, and a couple other things to get us through!

Our Baby in Veggie/Fruit Terms: Vann is the size of a coconut! He's about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. From here on out, he won't get much longer, but he's plumping up. He's now about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds, and he'll put on a pound or more of baby fat before birth. **I will know closer measurements when I go to our dr. visit next week!**

Fun Facts:
  • weight gain: 28 lbs
  • stretch marks: none yet!
  • mood: happy with a side of stress to get everything done!
  • belly button: FLAT!
  • wedding rings: yep!

Vann, We can't wait to see your beautiful eyes, your little fingers, and tiny toes! We are getting prepared as best we can for you. I love walking by your room and peeping in. It's changed so much in there since we found out you were coming. We wrote in your baby book, and one day you will get to read the story of Mommy and Daddy and all about how we prayed for you to join us!
Love you sweet boy!

{Vann, Lyla loves to snuggle with you already!}
